One day we decided to go with the ladies from the mission here at RedAdvenir to town to buy second hand clothes. This is a big event and we do not do it just once or twice a year. So we were all packed in our little car and we arrived safely there. We parked in one place but some

of the local people told us is not a save place so we tried another spot. After we parked we prayed for God’s protection over us and the car, but after we were just couple meters far, I saw a better spot in front of a store and I asked the lady if I can park in front of the store, she agreed and so I returned to move the care, but the car was dead. No reaction, the move of the key in the ignition was resulted in nothing but a click of the key, I tried this about 10 times than I asked the ladies to come see what happened. I was worried, but one of the ladies said; “this is a sign that God will protect our car, what a wonderful thing”. When she said this I was not able to see any good thing in this I just saw a problem with the car so I called the director of Red Advenir the only other person on campus with a car to come see what is the problem with the car, I lost almost the whole time of shopping with trying to get this problem fixed. When he came he just started the car like that, not even one sign of the problem we had before. This taught me a lesson:

What is my reaction in front of a problem? Am I jumping to fix it and struggle in vain to do something when nothing is in fact wrong, or just rejoice over the fact that He is working His will out in this problem? There are only two reaction in this, should we try to fix the problems we encounter in life just to have it all as we wanted to work, or recognize the work of the Holy Spirit that want to teach us the lesson of dependence?

O that we learn to rely more in God…but that is why we are in the mission; we are all a learning process that “My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are my ways your ways, said the Lord. For as heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thought than your thoughts. Isaiah 55; 8, 9; read more verses 11-13.
