Pathfinders is now front to back!
Dear Ones,
We can’t believe that a month has already past since the Pathfinder camporee! Loads of things are happening here. We had our 2016 Pathfinder registration and now have 19 Pathfinders (up from 10). On May 7, we will have our first Pathfinder Induction. Our club now has 4 councilors (2 girls and 2 boys) and 8 staff members (up from 3). We are EXCITED! As a club, we are attempting to complete the requirements for our friend class before the end of June. Some of the Pathfinders have already done 9 of the 26 requirements. This gives us hope and courage.
In the picture above, Allen is teaching some of the staff the beginners swimming honor so they can help with teaching the pathfinders. The staff had a wonderful, fun filled afternoon while learning this honor.
On July 11, we are planning to take our Merit Points winners to Georgetown to met some of the Guyana Conference staff, go to the National Zoo, visit the National Museum, and go for a treat. All our club could go for about $400 US. Please pray that we met our fund raising goals.
Speaking of goals, Allen and I have a personal goal of returning to the States in July to attend my parents 60th wedding Anniversary family reunion. We have saved the money necessary to get from our house to the airport and to pay the exit taxes. Now for the much harder part… tickets. Of the $1,200 for the tickets, we have a little over $200. We believe that if we are faithful stewards of our resources we will reach our goal on time. Please pray for us that we will be faithful in this matter.
