Few weeks ago, I was preparing for my one-month Revelation of Bible Prophecy evangelistic meeting in south Philippines. However, I still don’t have money to buy my tickets yet. Added to this, I need some amount of money to extend my visa. I presented this to God in my prayer. I said in my prayer, “God, I’ll be leaving in two weeks for the evangelistic meeting but I still don’t have money to buy my tickets and for my visa extension. I will not ask or tell anybody about my needs.

I will only ask you to provide my need.” Three days after day, I was assisting in another evangelistic meeting in central Philippines when I got a phone call from somebody. “Jerry, do you need anything? Are you praying for something?” said from a familiar voice over the phone.

Those words locked my mouth for few seconds knowing that this is the answer of my prayer. “Oh yeah, I’m praying for my tickets to go to the venue where I will conduct the meeting and also for my visa extension.” I replied. “How much is the ticket and the fee of your visa extension?” “The ticket is about $76 for one-way and for the visa is about $100.” This person continue to asked me if I have bank account so they could easily transferred the money but I don’t have one. This person seems puzzled to hear my answer and asked me how I receive donation for the ministry. I said that they either give me cash or send it through Western Union. Two days after that conversation on the phone, I received SMS informing that that money have been transfer through Western Union for my ticket, visa extension fee and enough money to open a bank account. And a day later, I got my ticket, visa extended and have my own bank account. Praise God. Again and again God is reminding me that God alone can provide, enough and always on time. God is never late and never slow. We need to follow His timing. It is time to really trust in the Lord. Because we believe that God is real. He is not in a distance away. He is beside us. He can speak to us. He can encourage us. God’s promises are equal to cash and we must act on God’s Word. God is calling us to detach ourselves totally from things of the world and to depend on Him for all our needs and willing to take the risk. Our job is to make ourselves available for God. Mrs. Ellen White said, “Make the very highest demands upon Him, that they may glorify His name. They may expect large things if they have faith in His promises.” – The Desire of Ages, p. 668.
