6-seater, 206 Airplane provided by God in January 2016

Full time work on Mindanao airbase finally started at the end of the year! “New” tractor/mower is a great help for maintaining the airstrip.

Long prayed for land finally made possible this last year! (darker green area paralleling the airstrip to the right)

One-month LIGHT training last May at our Palawan airbase was another miracle from God!

The first believers of Karusuan love their missionaries (Flores family) and all were eager and quick to help build the new school building! (bigger building behind them)

Riza is one of several youth that have been baptized recently and are becoming active doing missionary work  around the neighborhoods of the Palawan airbase.

United prayer (with the northern Luzon team). The “key” that unlocks heavens’ treasury!

God opened our eyes and understanding in agriculture and provided opportunities in several ways this past year. Pictured here is Violaine (and some LIGHT students), who helped us for several months to get things started.

Keys To The Treasury

Dear Family and Friends,

2016 was another busy and fruitful year, and we are now one year closer to Christ’s soon return. It seems every year goes by faster and faster. We want to praise God and remember His goodness by sharing with you a short summary of some of the major answers to prayer in 2016.

The 206 was able to give 220 hours of flight time service since God provided it last January (mostly medevac flights).
To start the year in January, God provided us with a Cessna 206that we had been praying for for several years. God’s timing is perfect and He provided us with another pilot (Jason Bireo) at the same time that He provided the Cessna 206. (He is now flying the Cessna 172 in our northern Luzon project)
I had been praying for years that God would provide someone to help us with paperwork in Manila for aircraft and pilot stuff as well as non profit corporation stuff that has to be taken care of each year. God answered this prayer through a young man (John) that lives in Manila who just wanted to help where he could in our ministry. God put it on his heart to assist us with our paperwork around Manila. He’s been helping us for almost a year now. It has been a huge help and blessing to me as I have, up to this point, dealt with all of the government paper work myself in person.

We have also been praying for someone with building skills to help oversee the construction of a hangar facility in Mindanao. God answered that prayer in providing a family from Romania (Adrian and Denisa Pantelimon and 2 daughters) 3 months ago. Finally we have full time work going on for the airbase construction in Mindanao at Mountain View College.

We have also been praying for a vehicle, tractor with mower, and a motorcycle to help facilitate our work on the airbase in Mindanao. God has provided all of those for us in the last few months, and we now have a small Kubota tractor with a mower for maintaining the airstrip, along with another Nissan Patrol for a primary vehicle, and a Honda XR motorcycle.

Our prayers for the repair of the Twin Comanche were also answered as we were able to get another wing put on it, as well as overhaul both engines and one propeller to a like-new condition. Both engines have broken in good and it’s back in service for the Lord.

We have been praying for additional property both in Palawan and in Luzon as God has been expanding our vision for his work to include agriculture which will go together with small wellness centers. God has provided us an additional 3 hectares in Palawan bordering our airstrip and also 5 hectares on the hill behind our hanger in Luzon. To go along with this God has also provided us with several useful agricultural trainingseminars this year. One product of these seminars is a young man (Neil Panes) who has a passion for agriculture and who is now helping us to develop some garden areas.

God also provided us with a small excavator in Luzon, which we had been praying for, to speed the development of the land above the hangar.

We haven’t even mentioned the new school in Karusuan with growing number of students (adults and children alike), the miracle of the one-month LIGHT medical missionary training, the youth revival and pathfinder camping trips, multiple baptismsmedical outreaches and more!

Some of our most regular prayers have been for fuel for operating the aircraft. God has been faithful in providing for this and we have never run out completely. In 2016 the R44 helicopter flew 200 hours, the Cessna 206 flew 220 hours, the Cessna 172 was flown about 350 hours and the Twin Comanche– 55 hours, which totals approximately 10,000 gallons of fuel used in 2016. God truly is able to provide for His work!

Our gratitude goes out to all of you as you have lifted up this ministry in your prayers and supported financially through your gifts. Although many of you may not be on the front lines of missions, God’s work is moving forward because of the vital role you have played in supporting from afar.

Though in the daily grind of mission life things often seem painfully slow, we were recently noticing how the last couple years God seems to have been answering more and more prayers and the work has grown in many ways. We are encouraged by this increase in the pace since we know that time is short and things will be getting increasingly harder in a very short time. In fact, “We have no time to lose! The end is near. The passage from place to place to spread the truth will soon be hedged with dangers on the right hand and on the left. . . We must look our work fairly in the face, and advance as fast as possible in aggressive warfare. . . We have warnings now which we may give, a work now which we may do; but soon it will be more difficult than we can imagine. God help us to keep in the channel of light, to work with our eyes fastened on Jesus our leader, and patiently, perseveringly press on to gain the victory.” Testimonies for the Church 6:22

It wasn’t until we were writing this email that we remembered that it was almost two years ago that we started making an effort to pray, and often fast, for 3 days a month with our teams. What a testimony to the power of prayer! We know that the “prayer of faith is the key that unlocks the treasury of heaven” and yet how how little we pray!

May we all be inspired this year to pray more- together with others- unitedly, and with faith, for God’s work to go forward and more souls be added to His kingdom!

May God abundantly bless each of you and draw you ever closer to Him in this new year as you prepare for His soon return.
