Weekly report. It’s now been 2 months since Gospel Worker 2014 started this wonderful service through which families receive their every day bread, spiritual food, legal advice, clothes, shoes, a few job opportunities and faith to get through every days’ difficulties.
In these 2 months we passed alone food worth of 1 818 511 Ft.
Despite all the difficulties we managed to give away 348796 Ft worth of food. Again we worked together with the other charity where on 2016.08.21 we gave away warm food, fruits, and bakery to those in need. On average we serve 150 people.
This week we had some serious challenges. In one of the bakery store broke their dough mixer. Like this they could provide us with much less than what they use to. So we had to be happy with 3 bakeries since the quantity dropped. If we had our own car we could fill the lack from the fourth bakery. This is why it is so important for us if we could receive some offerings so we could do the work with our own transport.
The experience of the last week where one of the co-worker came back to life when everyone started praying for him continued this week. Those people who up till that day didn’t show any interest in religion spent the week praying for their friend, so did the families who this person used to serve on every occasion.
Unfortunately this week Thursday our friend Hegedűs László had passed away. And now we pray that this work can continue without him.
Now we not only give out food but we also started to look for jobs, give legal advice where and when possible, hold private talks with the families with problems. At every possibility we try and quote the Bible. People started opening up to its messages.
We also had a positive feedback from Kisbér, a small village located 40km away from Székesfehérvár. They are waiting for us to continue work there. They are not only waiting for food but for personal connection, conversations, to be together and pray.
So it happens we started organizing another small helping group in the town of Velence, 15km away from us. The goals are the same, to find food, people in need who would receive it, start conversations about God and hopefully to start a new church. God sent to us 2 volunteers who would gladly start work in this area.
Prayer request: Let God give us wisdom to lead people to follow Jesus along His narrow path. Let God bring to us more volunteers so we could cover even greater area. And let God take care of financial support so we could purchase our own transport, petrol and pay for its servicing.
We also would like to start a monthly magazine which will contain quotes from E.G.White, practical advice, writings about healthy life style. According to our plans it would be an A4, 12 page full color magazine with 10 000 copies per month.
