Its founder and director is also a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church. Our goal is helping poor families, collection and distribution of offerings and food.
We would also like to reach out to people by giving out books on the streets. We are planning a colourful A4 size, 12-page magazine, hoping to print 10 000 copies per month in which we’d like to cover subjects like: health advice, kids’ education, spiritual encouragement, Bible explanations and others.
So far we’ve experienced a miracle a day. People come and offer their time and help in collecting and delivering the offered foods.
We ask you to further pray for more people like this to help us with this task in the late hours of the day. We are looking for people with cars who could help us with logistics.
We also ask you to pray so the Lord could even further strengthen our faith.
We also would like to ask for support in the following:
We need a small car for food deliveries. On the road price including insurance is EUR 2000 .
Monthly petrol expenses: EUR 150.
Bookkeeping, administration, monthly foundation upkeep: EUR 100.
We would like to employ 2 people. Both would be full time employed, one being the main staff and the other its helper. Gross pay would make EUR 700 and EUR 600 respectively.
Between 2016-07-03 and 2016-07-09 we continued collecting bakery from the 3 bakeries. Foods received worth is HUF 180,790.
One third of it was divided between shelters for homeless, abused women and their kids. They received pizzas, warm sandwiches, sweet pastries and all other tasty stuff. In total 160 homeless men, 20 women and 5 families with small children received our support.
The bigger part was divided among families with financial difficulties. With the support of our church we were able to give away food for 12 families on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
As per their request we could not take photographs where individuals could be easily recognized.
On Saturday we went to visit a small village of Kisbér again. We met families with their children who live in 15-20 square meter, hand built, one bedroom ‘houses’ from clay.
On a few occasions we went to give food to homeless who live in woods in huts built from cardboards. Their day to day activity comprises of collecting glass bottles to later exchange it for money, digging through dumpsters searching for food, begging on the streets. Many of them are so psychologically damaged that they are not suitable for work.
Between 2016-06-26 and 2016-07-02 we received food from now 3 bakeries worth HUF 185 780.
Half of it went to Szekesfehervar shelter for homeless, shelter for women, and shelter for abused families with kids. They all received pizzas, warm sandwiches and sweet pastries.
Shelter for homeless provides space for 160 men, women’s institution accommodates 21 females, shelter for abused families help 5 families and their children.
The other half of food was given away to families in need. Unfortunately, in Hungary many don’t sympathise with those in need and for this reason we could not take photographs to share with you.
