God is opening doors again so we can provide health care in Bolivia. Thanks to our Heavenly Father will be reaching many people who are in need of physical, mental and emotional care through these projects.

Project “Fundation El Sauce”

We will participate as a family to help in this medical mission trip to “Foundation El Sauce”. This project began in Argentina, thanks to Odontólogo Iver Perales who gave us the idea.  Thank God!!  It started as a small dream but  became a big reality. Dentists, psychologists, doctors, physical therapist and nurses will be participating. It will be a week of spiritual emphasis at the Foundation. We help in other areas such as construction and will provide a Health Fair to the community.

 “The Sauce Fundation” is a charity project located in Samaipata – Bolivia that aims to help orphaned children.

Project  ” Puerto Ustarez”

This medical missionary trip that will be for seven days. Dr. Patricia and her husband, Wes,  will work as Dentists. We will also work  a group of 12 young “Mission Caleb” of Guayaramerin, who will give guidance on disease prevention and also will give a Evangelist series in the town of San Joaquin. Miguel participates in a mechanic team , which focuses on seeing the needs that men have in the communities. We will be using two airplanes and a minivan to get  to the places.

We want to reach 4 communities near the border with Brazil in the Department of Beni:  

  • Puerto Ustarez
  • Chico Viejo
  • Bahia and
  • Guaso

 Dentist, Physical therapy, nursing attention will be given and education to 75 families. We want to visit each home, providing care to bedridden patients. Giving missionary booksand materials for children.

MAJOR NEEDS

 LACK OF DENTAL CARE

Bolivia is the least developed country in South America, and 54 percent of the population lives below the international standard poverty line of $ 2 a day.
About 60 percent of the population is indigenous, indigenous to wear clothes and have indigenous beliefs. And more than1 million children in Bolivia live in dangerous circumstances, and lack access to basic needs such as access to health and education. The Ministry of Health reported Wednesday that at least 95% of the Bolivian population, particularly school children between 6 and 14, have cavities with greater incidence in the eastern regions (October 2009). 

 LACK OF HEALTH EDUCATION

The villagers hardly drink water.
There is a big job to do not only medical care but also education in the prevention of diseases, starting at the water hygiene, food hygiene, personal hygiene and sanitation in their homes.

LACK OF MEDICINES

These communities are eager to get medical attention and have access to medication; mothers asked us if we couldplease leave medicines for children, as antipyretic and expectorant. We left everything there.

 LACK OF CHRISTIAN LITERATURE

We need to bring missionary books with hope, to talk about family, education of children,moral values, and health. We are confident that God will continue its work through them after they leave the community.
