Familia Feliz, Bolivia from Miguel Tello

To say that it has been a stressful few weeks is a major understatement! We’ve had two medical evacuations for kids (6 surgeries for Denilson), one more planned for Monday, received 5 new kids from Social Services, started second semester at school being 5 teachers short (which meant teaching 11 classes in 6 class periods), […]

Two new missionaries from Denmark

This morning 2 new volunteers from Denmark arrived!!  Great!  So with them teaching English, I’ll be Bakery full-time!
Last Thursday and Friday fired up the brick oven, and it works!  A master that knows these ovens helped us!  it was lots of work!
Full steam ahead! 🙂
Thank you again for your support and prayers,
Baker Steve, Colegio San […]

Reaching out with a magazine

We would also like to reach out to people by giving out books on the
streets. We are planning a colourful A4 size, 12-page magazine, hoping
to print 10 000 copies per month in which we’d like to cover subjects
like: health advice, kids’ education, spiritual encouragement, Bible
explanations and others.

So far we’ve experienced a miracle a day. People […]

Annual Inspection Of The T182, It’s That Time Of Year Again

It was that time of year again. Then annual inspection of the turbo charged Cessna 182 was due at the end of June. After finishing the work painting the Mooney we started working on the inspection of the turbocharged Cessna 182. The T182 was what I was working on over the end of June and […]

2016. 07. 31-2016. 08. 06

This week we collected and gave away 236,650 Forintz worth of food. During the week on average we look after 18 families. 3 bakeries provide the food.

We managed to find an occasional job for one of the families and gave legal advice to another one whose money is managed by someone […]

Repaint And Thin No More

There is a story about a cheap skate painter who was hired to paint a church. He charged for the paint to paint the church, but thinned the paint multiple times in order to cheat the church. When he was done painting the church with the very thin paint, rain washed the paint off the […]

2016. 07. 23- 2019. 07. 30

This week we have more volunteers joining our ranks. With their help we managed to cover 4 bakeries. Instead of average 200 000Ft worth of food we collected 312 335Ft worth.

Unfortunately the help we received was only available for this one week.

Now we look after 18 families. But we could help up to 30 families […]

Localized rainstorm

“Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.” Zechariah 10:1

It is dry season here, and we’ve been watering by hand. It’s not such a daunting task when there are dozens […]

Update on the Land

Over the last few days, we have felt the hand of our good Lord active as we have juggled classes and activities, covered for absent teachers, and gathered documents to file in protest of INRA’s decision to declare all of our land property of the state. Thank you so much for your prayers.

Through a set […]

No Substitute for Peace of Mind

I learned a valuable lesson the other night about how to have peace of mind by listening to that small inner voice.

Last week I flew into Paruima village and parked the airplane in the usual spot down by the Kamarang river bank.

I vaguely noticed that the river was really high and the thought occurred to […]
